This week was the last full 5-day week of the school year. Long about March, I wasn't sure this day would come and now just a few short days and the bell will ring and it is SUMMER!! Here's what I wore this week....
Disclaimer: What I'm Wearing is in hopes inspiration for your closet, that I can give you some ideas from what I'm wearing. What fits you doesn't always fit me. What fits me, doesn't always fit you. So, we all know the style of jeans that work best for us, the brands of shoes we love, etc. I'm not a "linker" to buy all of these outfits here. Truth be told, a lot of my clothes are many many years old and I pick up things all around the place. I'm don't update my wardrobe every season with the latest and greatest. I
Monday, this jacket is one I have worn before and is one of those pieces that makes an outfit all on it's own. I've worn it with cowboy boots, and this week I wore it with cropped navy (even though you can't tell in my high-quality iPhone photos) pants and multi-colored heels for a little color. Simple and easy, requires minimal effort and it's a swing cut, so very comfortable as well!
Tuesday was our final day with our Community Partners in our classrooms. It has been fun to get to know a group of students I don't teach and great to see them interact with our community partner as well. I'm thankful almost 100 people show up to our school once a month (usually with snacks) and invest in our students. Volunteering is near and dear to my heart, so am thankful for those who volunteer with us! These jeans were a sale rack (had to have been returned) find at the Gap last summer. They are my size and a "Tall" so someone didn't like them, but they are perfect for school days for me!
Wednesday I pulled out my palazzo pants for one more round this year. Previously seen here in the elastic edition post. :) Love wooden jewelry and these beads were a perfect match and little change in look for these pants. I have mentioned before my trick for boyfriend shirts, I just get them from the guy's section. I wore one last week too! They are perfect cut for me, and sleeves are long enough and are way cheaper than the "boyfriend" shirt on the Gap Tall website! This is the light version of my dark denim pearl snap I wear over and over.
Rockets Game Day means another day to wear my Rockets T! But, really...bless our Rockets heart. (Hi Laurie - Your Warriors are owning us, and Curry - he is impressive!!). We just can't seem to come out and play to win. But, we're still cheering them on. This day in heels, skinny black jeans and a little heart cardigan. Sometimes you have to wear your heart on your sleeve.
Fri-Yay! The weather this week has continued to have rain almost every day, making like 3 weeks of rainy days. Even got a little cooler and temps were in the 70's late Thursday. Is this Seattle!? That's a rarity this time of year in Texas and a good reason to wear my cowboy boots with jeans + spirit T! Keeping with Thursday, switched from zebra to leopard for my belt. Speaking of belts, I've got in my head I want a little skinny lavender belt...it's my mission to find one for summer!
Apparently the theme this week was muted plus crimson! For those of you finishing school this next week, cheers to the end! For those of you who have men and women in your families that have served our country giving their lives for our freedom, I salute them and may your heart be comforted this Memorial Day.
Blessings,
Hi Angie - We/Warriors almost swept the series on Monday in Houston. Back to Oakland for game 5... The fall that Curry took rattled me to my bones... seeing it over and over on the news just didn't help. Never want a guy injured. May the best team win - I think Cleveland is going to be finals opponent...
ReplyDeleteHave a good week -
Laurie - I would have definitely lost money if I was betting on that game, thought for sure it would have been a sweep! The fall was bad, hope he's up and playing! Have a great week!
